This post is not about the entrance bridge in particular but about the doors of HES which always seem to be open for new students. Sure everyone is welcome but full is full. At a certain point the school should realise that quality is more important than quantity.
We all came in pretty easy you register send in you grades an off you go, you hardly have to do anything at all. The result of this system is that lots of students who aren’t sure about there study choice just take a random study and quit after one or two semesters because a lack of motivation. Well oke their might have to be an option for those who don’t know yet but I assume that most of you agree when I say that it is ridiculous to be studying in a school with overcrowded classroom.
Perhaps HES Amsterdam should be more selective and screen new students entering the school of business and economics. Why not making it a little bit harder to be accepted at HES. A simple motivation letter or entrance test could already be enough to eliminate a number less motivated students. In that case only the best would remain and the overall level would become more competitive and of a higher level.
Because in the end we all want our diploma to say that we studied at one of the best Business Schools of the Netherlands / Europe, right?
