What is graduating at hes like?
Finally arrived at hes, and when you stand in front of that building you realise that it might be the last time you will ever see it…. haha how great is that! Four years of hard working, just to experience this important day! That’s all I did it for!
The Graduation Ceremony started with a small reception, with coffee and tea. Here all the people gathered together. The nice thing is that you see the people again after a year of exchange periods and internships.
And there they were, the people I missed for months; those I used to drink with, hang out with, get bored with, make fun with, cheat at exams with (hehe, just kidding), relax with, present with, study with, Yes, honestly I had to work of course, well at least read the books to know what the subjects were about, get mock exams and study it, write some stuff at exam papers and get at least the minimum of 5.5.
Unfortunately you don’t see all the people at the reception that I would wanted to see. Not everyone made it in four years.
After the reception we walked to the “North Serre” where a stage and a large beamer were installed. The moment you enter the “North Serre” you get that feeling of doing your first presentation ever, sooo nervous. No one knows what is going to happen. You can see everybody being excited and nervous at the same time.
Then Ms. Vila Roches (the Spanish teacher) opened the Graduation Ceremony where soon Mr. Resing took over to speech about studying and stuff like that. After Mr Resing’s speech the students had to go forward and pick up their diploma, one by one.
Hey… and here is the moment for YOU to watch the videos we added at the website under the “tab” videos…. that’s what happens next!
Lucky me I had to pick up my diploma and Peter Fonkert (my dissertation-guide) gave a speech about me, and I got a present! Nice!) Next, other students picked up their diploma and the teachers Mr. Weaver and Mr. Moosa gave a short speech or asked questions or made some jokes.
After all speeches went to another room inside school were everyone could get drinks and snacks.
And then!
YEESSSS finally done with HES! Yesyesyesyes…..Finally I can say: bye bye HES hasta la vista!
