Yeah I always wanted to go to the Oktoberfest but each and every year my wallet doesn’t really allow me to pay the expensive transport, expensive hotel and expensive beer. So this year we thought of a solution! We welcome you to the Babylonix beerfest in Amsterdam! (cheap to get there (near Amsterdam cs) no need for Hotel, and cheapest beer in town)
Also from this October, our Weekend Warm Ups will be held every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month so you’d better be there!
What to expect at the Weekend Warm Up BEERFEST special?
Expect a lousy imitation of the Oktoberfest with a lot of super cheap beer, fun people, drinking games and much more. The party starts at 20:30 and at around midnight we’ll move from the Five Bells Bar to a club somewhere in Amsterdam. During one of the drinking games you can win tickets for the club we’ll go afterwards! Wanna join?

We wouldn’t be Babylonix if we didn’t give our friends a super good deal. Therefore, we arranged a supergood discount on beer and other items: €1,5 (vaasje 33cl), €3 (pint), €9 (pitcher). Babylonix Weekend Warm Up BEERFEST special 2nd of October from 20:30!
What a night last night!! In a sold out Club HOME, more than 600 students celebrated the start of the academic year 09/10. Around 11pm already many ppl were queuing to get in but around 12:30pm the club was SOLD OUT!! Hip Hop and R&B tunes were on the top floor and in the main dancing area there was a bit of everything, dance, pop, rock, etc so everybody could dance what they wanted. Pretty hot inside though and sometimes the bar seemed to be understaffed but besides that the party was pretty good!

Although outside it was cold and the ocean seemed to drop down from the sky, inside we were warming up the weekend. So yeah thanks to the rain the night did not start as the busiest night ever but a promising start of the studyparty year. On the other hand, there was still enough space to walk around and talk to the many random HES people from all over the world and from lot’s of different studies as well. Finally we ended up with a large group, finishing the night dancing at Rembrandplein. I hope all you guys enjoyed the night, perhaps the drinks were too cheap and you can’t remember what happened? well just go to babylonix or facebook to check out some of the pictures we took.

Álvaro Fau Van-Riet and partner in crime Alberto , exchange students from the sunny country of Spain started out a party movement entitled Colors .The themes are based on colors and most people who come usually obey the color code. Slick and stylo music and atmosphere makes Colors an awesome party to be at.

The whaaat? yeah, De Nieuwste (the newest) a weekly party at Club Home! You will probably remember Club Home from last semesters iStudyatHES Party. De Nieuwste has its grand opening on thursday the 18th of september and we are giving away 15 free tickets for this brand new party. But there is more, what do you say about a VIP arrangement including a nice bottle of bubles and your very own VIP table????
So I guess everyone wants to be a VIP and I know you are very important but still you need to do something to get it all for free. Last Saturday 14th of June, iStudyatHES.com held its first official party at Club HOME. Around 200 persons showed up, including one celebrity> Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen.
The party started with DJ RUBIX (a HES student) giving one of the best performance of the night, then Flexmeister took over until a big-name-dj appeared in scene > Victor Coral. Last but not least, Tettero closed the night. An incredible break dance performance was also possible to be seen for those who stayed till the very end.
It was fun to see HES students in a different outfit than to the everyday look. For example, girls were really dressed up. Lots of international students were present too. A few Spanish exchange students were also celebrating the victory of Spain over Sweden.
In conclusion, this first iStudyatHES.com Party was a success and we are planning another one next academic year, so if you missed it, keep checking out the website.
