One might think the water in front of the HES Amsterdam building is dirty and should be cleaned. Maybe others enjoy the colorful looks of Cola/Fanta bottles and cans floating but have you ever wondered if there is any live in those waters???
Last summer a pretty big fish was spotted on sunny days. You probably didn’t miss the smelly dead one underneath the entrance. This, at least, indicates that there is live in the water.
Yesterday 19th of May 2008 11:30AM, guess what I saw swimming in the water????
A TURTLE. Yes, unbelievable, a real turtle and not such a small one either. Some of the more exotic exchange students might think ‘what the f**k’ we have those everywhere but for the Dutch students among us, this is not a daily sight. Does anyone know how the turtle got there? The turtle could be a creation of all the rubbish floating around. Or have you got any other ideas how and why he/she is swimming around in front of the school? Did you see it as well? Or perhaps you even saw the whole turtle family.
